Collected thougths while ridin the mrt

  • For a show named "BULLSHIT" Penn and Teller makes a
    lot of sense
  • If time will permits it. I would like to study sign
    language
  • Lately I limit my clothing to black and white...
    Makes laundry way more easy
  • I wanna shake the hand of the person who invented
    "Downy Isang Banlaw"
  • I know there a lot of die-hard fans of starbucks and
only frequent their stores exclusively and not
trying some place else. They are limiting themselves
to one concept and one style of serving espresso.
Starbucks has a good product but it doesnt mean they
are the only ones who have a great line-up of
espresso drinks and other beverage and desserts.
Different coffeeshops offer different things in the
drink line up and desserts as well as gourmet items
like sandwiches and pasta. Try experimenting
coffeeshops and differentiate them from each others
service, environment, quality of product, variety of
what to offer they can offer like teas and other
non-coffee alternatives, price. Then comeback to
starbucks and make a decision. Remember there is a
difference between a coffee lover and a <insert
coffeeshop> lover. Its better to be a connoisseur
    than to be fan.

  • BTW I love starbucks.
  • Can you survive without a social network account?
  • In the future. People will have their IM status
floating above their heads. You are going to be your
    own avatar
  • My laptop is busted. I dont know what to do.
  • I want universal health care!

Its very hard to do so I decided not to define it

This a poor attempt to makes sense... btw I'm a Guy

But I will not define love. But you can see some

definitions or opinions about it.

I noticed that who are in love seldom define the

word love because they have it.

Infatuation.. thats a tricky word. Crushes too

Kids are screwed, they are the only ones who are

clueless about love but they are the ones most of

the time ask what love is. Funny, they give so much

of it.

Its romantic to try defining but basically

fantasizing.

You dont want the perfect love, it'll be boring.

Mature and growing... thats whats you want.

Maybe (just maybe) there is some women who loves

shoes more than their boyfriends...

I think its better to have love than to be in love.

At least you know that getting it than to be in love

but not reciprocated

And then what if you're loved but not the way you

want it but its the best kind of love given to you

from that person?

Im a making sense?

Its a scary thought but what if when you hear the

words "I love you" is actually "I appreciate what've

 you done" from that person.

This one cracks me up:

"Do you know what it means to come home at night to

a woman who'll give you a little love, a little

affection, a little tenderness? It means you're in

the wrong house, that's what it means."

-George Burns.

"If love is the answer, could you rephrase the

question?"

-Lilly Tomlin.

Dig up some poor old poem I made

First of all the punchline to this poem is an inside joke to Filipinos. There was a time that Jollibee local competitor of Mcdonalds here in the Phillippines had this Toy Drive in the Christmas for poor kids, Their posterboy for this program was Aga Muhlach a famous actor in the country. Thus the drive was named "Pamaskong Ma-AGA" or meaning Early Christmas.

This suicide note was found on the body of Theodore the Teddy Bear after his jump off a 4-storey drawer

Had to leave my mind
Which is better than being left behind
Your transition from bears to boys
Made you forgot about the toys

My belly still stained by mascara teardrops from your prom
My heart ached with you that nightlong
Whenever you're crying inside your room
I always wish I could lift that gloom

We've been together for thirteen years
I asked you whom do you hug while in your fears
I've always been…
So blind you haven't seen

Truly it is a phenomena
You've grown up my dear Anna
Alas there was a man named "Aga"
And his "Pamaskong Maaga"

Prepaid Botany

Dig up these poor old attempts in poetry, had fun though, that whats important =)

Prepaid Botany
Ni Ishmael "Maestro" Viray

Ang mga prepaid cards dapat ipunin
Sa sariling bakuran natin itanim
smart, globe o talk n text, kahit ano pwedeng piliin
Araw-araw tuwing hapon ito'y diligin

Ang itinanim ay pwedeng kausapin
Kung maari ito'y ibigin
Kapag ang payo ko'y gawin
Ako'y hahalaklak na hindi pwedeng pigilin

In a place where I could only do so much...

Do forgive me for grammar, sentence construction and punctuations...

I'm currently listening Steve Martin on youtube. You see I escape through punchlines, rimshots, laughter and giggles. But through careful observations of these jesters I see the world and learn everything in 5-10 minutes of material. You become a honorary citizen of their country, city, town or whatever bar or tavern they tell their jokes.

I wonder if people still email non-work related stuff like shoutouts, Hi's and Hello's, letters composed of at least three to five paragraphs. Maybe letters are now composed of tweets and not of paragraphs. English being bastard and ingrateful son, still is possible. Someday the word paragraph will be replaced with tweets and will be considered archaic.

I refuse to read or hear more scandals of Philippines. Same shit differrent day. But I could not resists being intrigued to read headlines and news titles, I just could not put my finger on my whose the good guys (or girl) I would like to say my opinion on the matter if I could skim through the BS, media hype, spins of this three rings circus. So I give up, hopefully in ten years a refuttable news journalist will shed a light on the matter on his special documentary. Or maybe just wait until wiki catches up

Damn Sam Kinison is hard to listened to...

I still remember the day I "eyeballed" a lesbian accidentally, should have ask first about gender and sexual preference in YM. Though I wished that incident didnt happened... Most people would bailout, I didnt... I went with it. We watched the movie FINDING NEMO which we both enjoyed after went to a Mcdonalds to buy burgers and had a chat which gone well also. We look around the mall to do windowshop and I could not help myself to look around to see of there are people I know especially people from my Highschool. We separated and the following day I got an IM from that person saying how good of a person as well of having some class, apparently we both enjoyed each other's company.

For that person it was a friendly date, for me it was a mixture of growing up, letting go social stigmas, funny experience, wisdom gaining and other things you expect when enlightenment happens. But still I hetero as I would want. Just matured

I would like to continue on more on my thoughts. But maybe next time, Got work tomorrow...

I would like to have a new friend in this website

Just an update

Oh its nothing just lately lost in myself and tired and stressed and overworked and underpaid. During these periods I always to something that will make me a bit happy. Recently I bought a WIFI usb adaptor worth p680 from greenhills. TP-Link is the brand. Its for my Archaic Laptop running on Windows 2000. Aside from checking blogs which I comment on, emails, news, comics and stuff, I use it to download TV series. Oh yeah I forgot to tell you that I work in Coffeeshop and we offer (for a minimum purchase of p250) free whole access. I'm the supervisor so I have access to our passwords so... Yehey!

Just finished downloading season 5 of the Office and I'm 4 episodes away from finishing the Dave Chappelle Show. I like comedy. Its my drug of choice. I remember that during my high-school days that I would be mad and not study unless I watch my sitcoms. I also download movies that I missed out. Well not missed out but did see at all because I cant afford to. So I make it up by downloading small size versions of them and play them in my laptop using VLC player (a very good media player) I also on a lookout for the classics like the Reservoir Dogs. Man it is the best Tarantino Movie yet. Speaking of which I'm waiting for his newest flick called "Inglorious Basterds"

Since these files are on mp4 format. I'm eyeing, contemplating, reflecting, measuring up, asking around, thinking of buying a mp4 player or a old ipod to watch my sitcoms on the go. See that I used a lot of words rather than saying "thinking of buying". Thats how poor I am, if I want something Im gonna squeze my brain out before deciding. Rich people wont think about because they already have it.

I just watched last weekend "REC" its a Spanish Suspense Film which was remaked by Hollywood as "Quarantine" I already watched Quarantine before REC. With some minor differences, the adapted stayed true to the elements of REC. Both scared the shit out of me.

I gotta go

Got work to do

My thanks to people who leave comments and to the people who replied on my comments.

Thank you for making me feel a part of this.

Top Ten Things on Thy Thought on Thursday 5/7/09

ffice:smarttags" name="place">

The Blogger just got his salary deducted due to his company’s policy on cost variance, where items missing in your monthly inventory is deducted in your wage.

Basically the blogger is hungry and pissed-off

Top Ten Things on Thy Thoughts This Thursday

10. Zombie Apocalypse is good for bonding

Have you played LEFT 4 DEAD? It’s the biggest hit of the videogame maker VALVE (Half-Life and Counterstrike)

Most of you know this but its game where you kinda participate in a four man team in one of four scenarios, which is like a movie. Its simple really: from point A go to point B. You just have to shoot through a seemingly endless barrage of zombies. Take note that these Zombies run like the ones in the movies 28 days and somewhere along the horde you have a variety of enhanced monsters that stalks your team through the stage.

Its so F***ing cool when you got 4 of your closest buddies travelling in the most eeriest places on earth with no sign of life during night time. Helping out each other on a quest for survival. Its so unlike other games where you just be the star player or high scorer. This game is all about team work, communication, coordination, sharing, caring…

Thank you for the Zombie the ones were shooting

9. Pacquiao should have lost…

Before you react. Read further

Yes I said it pacquiao should have lost the fight. Why? Because it will mean more money for him in a rematch with Hatton. Manny needs a new nemesis he already beaten Barera and Morales. He needs a new arch-villain in the ring.

But more importantly a rematch woulod definitely keep Manny busy enough not to go to politics. Ho doesn’t need to be a politician. If he really wants to helps he should make a foundation, give scholarships, do fundraisers, do charity not involving the press. I do not now much about banking but by using his interest money (that’s 1% of his total winnings) he could help a lot of our countrymen. 1% of his winnigs is more than enough. Hell! Why not give he gives his Mcdonald’s outlet’s profit to charity that would be great right?

To quote from Forrest Gump:

Momma said there's only so much fortune a man really needs and the rest is just for showing off.

This just came in…

My store’s door wont lock, not that the locking mechanisms is broken but I could not get the two sliding doors to meet each other and lock it. Last night I stayed up in the store until dawn to watch over the repairs being done as per company standard. It should have been fixed… Now I have to stay until the Opening Manager comes in…

8. I like listening to stand-up comedians they make a lot of sense in the world… Im Paraphrasing it

Kat Williams said in his “Its Pimpin Pimpin” DVD that we should have focused on our

Star Player, the one we see in the mirror everyday. We always go out and please other people but how about your Star Player. Problem is you are not selfish enough and forgot about your Star Player. You should go and talk to your Star Player and say, “How are you doing today?”

(On friends)

You should have 4-5 friends that got your back and block the BS in this world. Whenever BS comes your friends should be there throw themselves in front you and block BS off.

(On relationships)

Some of you Star Players have a franchise player but you always have your Franchise Players on the bench. You forgot your Franchise Players because you are to busy on who’s trading who, who coming from the draft…

7. I’m depressed… My salary got deducted… Got no money saved because I bring in my share for the bills

And tomorrow is the 5th anniversary of my girlfriend.

This really sucks.

6. Do you know the DC superhero Green Lantern? Well apparently there are other  “Lanterns” that existed in space (The Green Lanterns are like an Intergalactic Police that gets their powers for being Courageous)

Each Lantern is symbolized by a color which corresponds to a specific emotion

Green - Courage

Yellow – Fear

Red – Rage, Anger

Blue – Hope

Indigo – Compassion

Violet – Love

Black --- Death

5. On Windows XP

I read it on Wikipedia.com that WinXP stop selling to give to Vista and Windows 8. But support for the XP is until 2010, then they announced it that due to the number of UMPC and netbooks using XP they extended it to 2014

I’m using Windows 2000. Its 2009. I still got programs that support Win2000 and it seems it can go further. How long after 2014 would XP really be obsolete like Windows 98 and Windows ME?

4. Anime and Escapism

Although anime seems harmless to the viewer I think too much of it is alarming. On my opinion some types of Anime offers escapism to people who are having trouble with their lives. An example would be Harem

Harem is the type of Manga or Anime where the protagonist is the sole male character in the story or a male character surrounded by women of different kinds. The viewer could his favorite or crush from the cast of women in the story. Sometimes the male is the crush or would be the crush of all the female characters in the development of the story. It is easy to picture yourself as the Main Character of the story. Most of the time the male character is a weak, unimpressive, passive, shy, pushover, bad luck magnet, always gets to be beat up, and has trouble with girls. But at the same the male character is Chivalric and Sagacious, kind-hearted, man with principles, never give up, ever-loving under-dog. On the list given above you would probably picture yourself as the Main Character already.

With great fortune and luck the Main Character becomes the hero, a knight in shining armor if the occasion calls for it and in the end impresses the female cast. Sometime thru the course of the story he beginning to wisen up and becomes a man.

Who would not want to be the Man in this type of anime. Right? It is so ROMANTIC right? It is too ROMANTIC. Its unbelievable! C’mon a guy surrounded by girls that are cute, voluptuous, in Japanese high school uniforms, who has the hots for you and sometimes with alien superpowers, killer ancient pass to generation to generation martial arts who wields a big-ass bastard sword and drives a robot from Outer Space from another dimension.

I’ll make another blog regarding more on the topic but I hope you get the picture.

3. Question..

Do you have an On-line Degree?

Did it help you get a job?

Did it actually help you become a better professional?

2. What if one day all of the coffee shops have the same prices of coffees, cakes, frozen beverages and other items commonly found in a typical coffee shop.

Where would you go and why?

1. Again, using the #2 scenario above. Would you go FIGARO (or your country’s own coffeeshop) and buy your coffee and cakes in that place knowing all other coffee shops have the prices for their products? Would you pay their prices despite that most of their supplies came from your country, that the owner doesnt need to pay license fee for running their international brand in your country, basically would you pay an "international price" for a "local home grown concept"?
